Position Overview:
The Financial Assistance Screener works with patients to determine their potential eligibility for financial assistance programs based on income, household size, insurance status, and other program requirements. This role supports patients through the application process while ensuring information and documentation are collected accurately and confidentially.
Key Responsibilities:

• Screen patients for eligibility for financial assistance and charity care programs.
• Review patient financial information, household income, insurance coverage, and supporting documentation.
• Explain financial assistance programs, eligibility requirements, and application processes to patients.
• Collect and verify required documentation, such as proof of income, identification, and insurance information.
• Enter and maintain accurate patient and financial information in the appropriate systems.
• Follow up with patients regarding missing information or documentation needed to complete their application.
• Communicate with internal teams regarding patient eligibility and application status.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Provide compassionate customer service when discussing sensitive financial information.

Pay: $25.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
